DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The Development Authority of the North Country is accepting applications for a position in their Water Quality Division. The Authority provides water and wastewater operation services to communities in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties. Position is responsible for performance of work related to operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, conducting water and wastewater sampling, analysis and interpretation of results.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess high school diploma and valid NYS Driver License, be in good physical condition, able to lift 50 lbs., and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Knowledge of water and wastewater processes, piping and electrical systems preferred. Be mechanically inclined and able to read system drawings, and have basic computer skills. Current certification for NYSDOH 2A Water Operator AND NYSDEC 2A Wastewater Operator is a plus.
