Eric Virkler was appointed a member of the Authority Board by the Lewis County Board of Legislators.

Mr. Virkler currently serves as Lewis County Treasurer. Prior to that, he held positions in both economic development and finance, including service as Executive Director of the Lewis County Industrial Development Agency and Director of Planning and Economic Development for Lewis County. Mr. Virkler has also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Lewis County General Hospital and as Administrator and Treasurer for the Village of Lowville. Early in his career he held accounting positions in manufacturing and with Coopers and Lybrand. 

Active in his community, Mr. Virkler serves on the boards of Naturally Lewis, the Lewis County Development Corporation and North Country Alliance. He is a past board member of the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce and the Lowville Cream Cheese Festival. 

Mr. Virkler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Syracuse University.
