SCADA is a control-system used in industrial, infrastructure, and facility-based systems for monitoring and controlling processes in real-time. SCADA is used by the Development Authority to monitor water and wastewater plants and systems, and is available to municipalities as a value-added service. Because of its control and alarming capabilities, the use of SCADA systems helps prevent expensive regulatory violations and potential public health issues and allows system operators to more closely manage their systems.
